Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 2 August 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Kyryl Lytvynenko, an individual (not a company) based in Estonia — “we” or “us” below — for your use of Stitcheree (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Service.
The Service
Stitcheree helps cross-stitchers keep a floss inventory, organise pattern charts, track stitching progress, and keep a gallery of finished pieces. We offer it as-is and may add, change or remove features over time.
Your account
- You must give accurate registration details and keep them up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything done through your account.
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- Tell us promptly at hello@stitcheree.com if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.
Your content
Everything you put into Stitcheree — your inventory, your pattern details, your photos and captions — remains yours. We claim no ownership of it.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process and display that content strictly for the purpose of operating the Service for you: storing it, showing it back to you, and generating the previews and thumbnails the app needs. This licence exists only so we can run the Service, it is not transferable, and it ends when you delete the content or close your account.
Patterns and uploaded files
You are responsible for having the right to upload whatever you upload. Cross-stitch charts are usually protected by copyright, and buying a chart normally licenses it for your personal use only. Do not upload a chart you do not have the right to use, and do not use the Service to distribute charts to other people.
The chart PDF you upload is stored on our servers so that it is still there when you come back, and is served back to you alone while you are signed in — we do not show it to anyone else. Photos you add to your gallery are stored the same way. Deleting a pattern or a photo deletes the file with it.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload anything unlawful, infringing, hateful, or sexually explicit;
- upload malware or attempt to compromise, overload or reverse-engineer the Service;
- access another user's account or content, or attempt to;
- scrape or bulk-extract data from the Service;
- use the Service to infringe anyone's intellectual property.
Photos are screened automatically before they are stored. That check is a filter, not a guarantee, and it does not replace your own responsibility for what you upload. We may remove content that breaches these terms, and may suspend or close the account of anyone who repeatedly does so.
Responsibility for what users post
Content uploaded by users is theirs, not ours. We do not create it, choose it, endorse it, or review it before it appears. Each user is solely responsible for what they upload and for having the rights to it, and we accept no liability for user content or for any loss arising from it.
We host that content as an intermediary. We do not monitor uploads generally and are under no obligation to do so — but when we are told about content that is unlawful or breaches these terms, we will look at it and remove it where appropriate. To report something, email hello@stitcheree.com with a link and a short description.
Repeat infringers. Accounts that repeatedly upload infringing or unlawful material will be suspended or closed.
If you upload something, you confirm you have the right to do so, and you agree to cover us for any claim brought against us because of it.
Copyright & intellectual property
The Stitcheree name, logo, design, interface and underlying software are owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. © 2026 Stitcheree. All rights reserved. You may use the Service as intended, but you may not copy, adapt, resell or redistribute any part of it without our written permission.
DMC and DMC colour names and numbers are trademarks of their respective owner, DMC Corporation. Stitcheree is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by DMC. Colour codes and names are referenced solely to help you identify threads you already own.
Pattern designs uploaded by users remain the property of their respective copyright holders. If you believe material on the Service infringes your copyright, contact us at hello@stitcheree.com with a description of the work, where it appears, and your contact details, and we will investigate and remove infringing material where appropriate.
Availability
We aim to keep the Service running but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may need to suspend it for maintenance, updates or reasons beyond our control. We are not liable for downtime.
Please keep your own copies of anything important. While we take care with your data, the Service is not a backup service.
No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Features such as automatic colour detection from PDFs and automated photo screening are best-effort and may be inaccurate.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or €50.
If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, and the Estonian courts have exclusive jurisdiction — except that consumers may bring proceedings in their own country of residence, and keep the protection of their local consumer law.
